Legal Assistants

Blankingship & Keith, PC has opportunities for experienced legal administrative assistants with demonstrable litigation, technical and administrative skills to support attorneys in the Family Law and Medical Malpractice practice groups by maintaining and processing case information, managing the progression of cases to final disposition, creating electronic files, preparing and processing correspondence, memoranda and complex legal documents, and performing other administrative functions.

Litigation responsibilities include preparing documents for state and federal court filings, including discovery requests and responses, letters, pleadings, motions, and documents, as well as e-filing in various state and federal courts. Administrative duties include scheduling meetings and appointments, maintaining attorney calendars and contact information, new client intake, time entry and billing, file maintenance utilizing the firm's electronic records management system, and travel coordination and expense reimbursement.

Qualified applicants must possess strong communication, organizational, and client service skills and be able to work in a team-oriented environment with accurate spelling, grammar, and proofreading. For the Family Law position, experience serving family law clients is a plus.

These positions require a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with e-filing, document management and time and billing systems is required.
