William B. Porter, managing principal of the law firm of Blankingship & Keith, P.C., is the new president of the Northern Virginia chapter of the Federal Bar Association for the 2018–2019 term. He has been on the board of directors of the chapter since 2013.
An article that published in Bloomberg News on June 25, 2018 discussed the results of a “first-of-its-kind study using the latest techniques for simulating head injuries.” The study found significant variations in how bike helmets protect against concussions, noting the use of older bike helmets that do not include the latest anti-concussion technology were more than twice as likely to result in injuries.
